Summary:
A young girl, Hyejung, loved to read to escape her stressful life but everything changes when she wakes up to find herself in the bizzare world of her favourite reverse harem novel. However, instead of ending up as the female lead who is wooed by all the three male leads, she is reincarnated as Latte Ecrire, a minor villainess. Good or bad, she is living in her favourite novel, so she sets out with popcorn in one hand and movie glasses in the other, to watch all the drama take place right before her eyes.
Latte Ecrire
Let me tell you, this is not your usual isekai manga. It is much, much more hillarious, or to speak more properly, it's a barrel of laughter. It is the best manga or anime series for comedy, in my opinion. It is not purely based on romance, but is basic comedy throughout. There is romance, but only after the first fifty chapters. In the early chapters, the story mainly focuses on comedy, world building and Latte adjusting to her new life in the olden times. There are hints scattered in the early story, as to who the ML is, but are barely noticable.
The art style is very unique, memey and yet funny. All the main leads are drawn beautifully, just like it's described in the series. Latte herself is drawn rather plainly compared to the others. It is funny, but may not suit everyone's taste. It will take a bit of time to adjust to the art style, as it seems odd at a first glance.
The characters, like any other isekai, are predetermined and act as specified. The catch is, when Latte interferes and the story starts to trail off from its original path, the characters begin to deviate from their roles and their original motives are seen. The original story also strictly specified all the characters into three categories, the heroes, the villains and the side roles.
The MC, Latte, is a very funny, confused and more or less, powerless when compared to the other characters. However, she knows how to survive in situations and takes care of herself. I love her commentries, raps and her 'mind theaters' (her imagination).
The side characters, are as described, side characters. They don't appear much in the story, though the author really lost it while naming them. (you'll understand what I mean when you read it)
The other four main characters, namely Ibelina, Arwin, the crown prince and the Duke, are also well developed with explained back stories. The male leads don't fall head over heels at a first glance for our weird female lead Latte, which is usually the case with the other mangas. The romance slowly develops with breif conversations between the characters. This means it's a slow burn romance so there will not be any extreme scenes between them.
The story will not give you a 'fluffy' feeling, but it definetly is a happy story. I think there were no unnecessary scenes in the story, and every scene occupied an adequate amount of chapters, which seemed a bit unusual, as most of the mangas have stretched contradictions.
If you want to read a light, happy, comedy story with seems like the author went on a crack while writing it, I reccomend you to give this a try. It may not seem appealing but beleive me, it's a humorous tale. It's non commital and all the problems are swiftly dealt with.
