Summary:
The heir of a Yakuza family, Raku Ichijo, is being forced into a relationship with Chitoge Kirisaki, the daughter of the boss of a rival gang, Beehive to ensure peace between the gangs. She hops a wall and knees Raku while landing on him. Beacause of this, he loses a locket which was given to him ten years ago by a girl who bears the key to it. Both of them made some kind of promise and locked something inside the locket as proof and promise to meet again in the future. During their time together, both Raku and Chitoge begin to hat each other but still have to act like a couple all the time. It was very difficult as Raku already had someone he had crush on, Kosaki Onodera, whom he secretly wishes is the girl who he made the promise with. But as the story continues, Chitoge and her bodygaurd, Tsugmi, a female hitman, also claim to have a key as well as Yui Kanakura who was the newly appointed chief of a mafia gang. There's also Marika Tachibana who claims the same.
.**.
I personally loved the locket-key theme because it was something very new and different from the usual. Though I did not like the Male Lead, Raku, he was still satisfactory.
On the contrary, I loved Chitoge's cheerful, quirky and cute character. Out of the harem, I loved Chitoge, Tsugmi and Kosaki. Marika and Yui were not my favourite but they did a pretty good job.
The animations, graphics and the sounds were eye pleasing. The art also had very detailed drawings and illustrations.
Also, there were tons of short stories which were amazing! I really liked about how the author explained all the characters' past and future stories separately.
It is very satisfying overall The only thing I felt was that the story seemed a bit stretched and could've been a bit shorter. Nonetheless, it was still great.
. . .
That's it.
Now go read some manga
Bye!!
